World Cancer Congress
Four years after the last World Cancer Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2018, the 2022 World Cancer Congress (WCC) held in Geneva, Switzerland proved to be a successful event for HFI. This momentous event brought the most influential global health leaders together, setting forth post-pandemic public health designs to showcase best and new practices.
This hybrid event convened the NCD and cancer communities to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and identify opportunities on the fight against cancer at the local, national, regional, and international levels.
The WCC achieved the following aims in Geneva:
Facilitate useful and powerful connections amongst multisectoral leadership in cancer control
Deliver high-quality content that can make change happen and have a long-lasting impact
Equip changemakers with evidence and tools which will help accelerate progress in cancer control at all levels
Provide a global platform for stakeholders to launch new initiatives and/or make announcements which will strengthen global efforts in tackling cancer
