HFI is delighted to welcome Dr. Sarbani Chakraborty as a Senior Advisor. Sarbani is a senior global health executive with 25 years of experience with multilateral development organizations (World Bank), the private pharma and biotech sector (Roche and Merck KGaA), and global public-private partnerships (The Global Fund). At the World Bank, she worked with countries on health financing reforms to drive high-performing health systems in Europe and Central Asia, East Asia and Pacific, and Africa. She worked with Merck KGaA and Roche on driving access strategies in emerging markets with a focus on non-communicable diseases and public-private partnerships. Her area of focus in global health is the equitable and sustainable uptake of health care innovations for better population health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Sarbani holds a PhD in Health Economics from Johns Hopkins and MS from the London School of Economics. With an abundance of experience, Sarbani is excited to contribute to HFI's innovative mission of connecting capital with need through blended finance.
